Ted Bathurst joined the Dallas office of BDO in 2006 as a direct admit partner, and retired on June 30, 2015.  At that time, he has contracted with the Firm to perform internal inspections of domestic offices of BDO and to perform due diligence for potential Firm acquisitions, which activity is continuing.  He recently served as an Assurance partner in the Dallas office, primarily performing concurring partner reviews of public companies throughout the country and was the regional technical partner for five offices in the Southeast. Throughout his career, he served clients in the retail, high technology, insurance, construction, public utilities, manufacturing, real estate investment trust, and oil and gas industries. Prior to joining BDO, Bathurst was vice president and chief financial officer of a publicly held software company and accelerated SEC filer (Tyler Technologies).. He was also previously an audit partner and SEC reviewing partner at KPMG where he managed numerous engagements with SEC reporting responsibilities. He served as the worldwide audit engagement partner for a public registrant with a market capitalization of $20 billion.  Prior to KPMG, Ted was an audit principal with Arthur Young in Milwaukee upon his graduation from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in June 1971.  Also, he was an Elijah Watts Sells award winner for results achieved on the CPA examination taken in November 1971’

Bathurst intends to visit his three children and 15 grandchildren in Waco, Houston and Bloomington, and continue his golf and volunteer activities. In addition, he continues to perform internal inspections of selected BDO offices in a consulting capacity.
