Taina Bien-Aimé is the Executive Director of the Women’s City Club of New York (WCC), a multi-issue advocacy organization dedicated to shaping public policy to improve the lives of all New Yorkers.  Prior to her position at the WCC, Taina was a founding Board member and a decade later, the Executive Director of Equality Now, an international human rights and legal advocacy organization that works to end violence and discrimination against women and girls (2001-2011).  She practiced international corporate law at Cleary Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton (1992-1996) and was Director of Business Affairs/Film Acquisitions at Home Box Office (1996-2000). Taina  holds a JD from NYU School of Law and a degree in Political Science from the University of Geneva/Graduate School of International Studies in Switzerland.  Her awards include the 2000 AOL/Time Warner Andrew Heiskell Award; the 2007 Susan B. Anthony Award; the 2008 Phoenix Award (NY Asian Women’s Center), and the 2009 New York County Lawyers Association Edith I. Spivack Award.  She has appeared in numerous media outlets and is a contributor to the Huffington Post.
