Sylvie Durham is a shareholder at the law firm of Greenberg Traurig, LLP. She spent three years as the general counsel and investment director at a New York based structured credit derivatives fund. Prior to that, she was an investment banker and the Head of Structured Equity Products at BNP Paribas. Prior to BNP Paribas, she was a partner in the Structured Finance & Derivatives Group at the New York law firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. Ms. Durham has over twenty years of experience on both the legal and business side of derivatives, structured derivatives and structured products.

She has been involved as both a lawyer and investment banker in derivatives and structured derivative products for twenty years and has represented major investment and commercial banks, hedge funds, private equity funds, issuers, and investors in a broad array of structured derivative transactions in the United States, Europe, Asia and Latin America. She has written numerous articles and been a frequent speaker on topics relating to derivatives.

She received her legal degree from the University of Virginia and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from Georgetown University.
