Susan M. DiMickele is a trial lawyer and counselor for private and public sector employers in labor, employment, contracts, collective bargaining dispute resolution and education matters.

Ms. DiMickele has significant jury trial experience in employment discrimination, breach of contract and fraud cases including a defense verdict in a three-plaintiff age discrimination case. She litigates for employers in trial courts and before administrative agencies in matters involving wrongful termination, employment discrimination, employee benefits, trade secrets and restrictive covenants, unfair labor practices, personal injury and wrongful death. In addition, Ms. DiMickele has experience in successfully representing employers in wage and hour class actions including extensive multistate and multidistrict litigation.

Ms. DiMickele focuses on a variety of in-house training for employers, including EEO and diversity training, and represents employers in successful union-free campaigns. She counsels her clients on the implementation of litigation-prevention strategies and compliance with all aspects of federal and state employment law.

Ms. DiMickele co-chairs the firm's Partnering for Worldwide ValueSM initiative, looking for new, innovative ways the firm can be more cost-effective and efficient in providing services to clients. She leads the firm in employing new process, tools and creative approaches to maximize the value of services and regularly speaks about the firm's ongoing efforts in project management, business process development and knowledge management.

Ms. DiMickele is past president of the board of trustees of Vision Center of Central Ohio, Inc., a nonprofit organization for people with disabilities, and serves on the Advisory Board of Capital Law School's paralegal program. She is the author of the memoir Chasing Superwoman: A Working Mom's Adventures In Life And Faith (2010) and is a contributing author to several national publications, including Inside the Minds: Labor and Employment Law Settlements and Negotiations: Leading Lawyers on Employment Contracts, Workplace Discrimination, and Dispute Resolution, and has served as a contributing editor to several treatises for the ABA Section of Labor and Employment Law including Trade Secrets: A State-by-State Survey. Her honors include being regularly named an Ohio Super Lawyer, being recognized as a leader in the field of labor and employment by Chambers USA and being listed in The Best Lawyers in America.
