Susan Rosborough currently serves as Corporate Counsel in the Dispute Resolution Services division of Allstate’s Law and Regulation Department, heading up the Employment and Benefits Law group.  Sue’s group is responsible for providing counseling on all aspects of employment law, issues concerning Allstate’s qualified and non-qualified employee benefit plans, and executive compensation matters, as well as serving as counsel to the Chief Ethics Officer.  Sue first joined Allstate as an Attorney in the Law Department in 1981 following her graduation from Duke University School of Law.  She started her career at Allstate doing legal compliance and counseling for Property and Casualty Insurance regulatory matters.  During her 32 years at Allstate, Sue has been involved in a variety of different matters including the creation of various agent programs, the elimination of all employee agent positions, handling union drives involving agents, claim adjusters, and a group of lawyers, handling individual and class action litigation involving employees and agents on such matters as wage and hour, Title VII, and Equal Pay claims, supervising complex investigations alleging employee or agent wrong-doing, handling litigation and regulatory inquiries involving the status of workers as employees, independent contractors, and staffing firm employees, and working on matters involving the company Code of Ethics, compliance issues and privacy matters.  Outside of the office, Sue is active in a variety of charitable endeavors, serving on the boards of several organizations.
