Ms. Hinchey has over 30 years experience in the trademark profession beginning her career in 1978 with Century 21 Real Estate Corporation. In 1980, she received her Paralegal Certificate from the University of California at Irvine’s Legal Assistantship Program. Ms. Hinchey joined Allergan, Inc., in 1995, and within two years, was promoted to Corporate Trademark Manager, supervising Allergan’s Trademark Department and responsible for a trademark portfolio of then over 8,300 domestic and foreign trademarks. In 2003, she developed and implemented a global trademark protection program for Allergan’s BOTOX® trademark. Currently, she is responsible for Allergan’s domestic trademark portfolio as well as the global protection and enforcement of the BOTOX® trademark, successfully negotiating settlements of trademark infringement cases.

Ms. Hinchey is currently a member the International Trademark Association’s Board of Directors as well as a member of the Leadership Development Committee.

She has spoken on INTA panels for such topics as Trademark Administrators Focus: Searching, Clearing and Investigating Marks Worldwide; Trademark Application and Maintenance - A “How To” Guide; Using the Internet to Police Your Mark and Policing Trademarks.

Ms. Hinchey recently authored an article entitled, My Mission - To Protect My Company’s Multi-Billion Dollar Asset - A Trademark, which appeared on www.uslegal.com.
