Stacey Wang

Holland & Knight LLP

Los Angeles, CA, USA

Hsiang Chun "Stacey" Wang is a litigation associate in the Los Angeles office of Holland & Knight and a member of the West Coast Litigation Group. She routinely represents domestic and foreign businesses involved in high-value disputes, including complex commercial and intellectual property matters, business fraud and antitrust/unfair competition actions (including defending product liability and consumer class actions), and in government criminal investigations and civil False Claims Act cases. She has also represented high net worth individuals, nonprofits and financial institutions in fiduciary and trusts and estates litigation. The commonality in her wide-ranging practice is her practical, business-oriented approach to resolving complex legal issues, an approach she also uses in developing compliance plans and implementing litigation avoidance strategies. Ms. Wang has been quoted in Bloomberg BNA on corporate compliance and has co-authored a three-part guide to demystify corporate internal investigations for business executives.

In the legal community, Ms. Wang has been recognized as a "Rising Star" in Business Litigation by the Southern California Super Lawyers Magazine, a designation given to no more than 2.5 percent of the attorneys in the state. She was also selected to participate in the American Bar Association (ABA) Tort, Trial and Insurance Practice Section's Leadership Academy as one of 22 individuals identified as emerging leaders from across the country. Ms. Wang currently serves as the president of the Southern California Chinese Lawyers Association (SCCLA), one of the oldest and largest Asian-American bar associations in the country. She also serves as a vice-chair of the ABA Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section's Business Litigation, Trial Techniques and International Law Committees and as vice-chair of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association's Dispute Resolution Committee, which focuses on international dispute resolution and commercial arbitration. In addition, she is an appointed member of the ABA Litigation Section's Federal Practice Task Force.

Within the firm, Ms. Wang was selected in 2014 as one of five women attorneys in the firm to participate in firm's award-winning "Rising Star" women's initiative professional development training program. She was previously selected as a litigation Chesterfield Smith Fellow in 2011 and spent one year litigating high-profile pro bono matters across the country. She is active in the Public and Charitable Services Committee and serves as the firmwide pro bono coordinator for cases referred by Kids in Need of Defense (www.supportkind.org), a pro bono initiative which aims to provide legal representation to unaccompanied children in removal proceedings, and through which she has gained significant experience in representing children trafficked from China. She also chairs the Asian Pacific Islander Affinity Group and sits on the Diversity Council.

Ms. Wang previously served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Margaret M. Morrow of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, as well as an extern to the Civil Licensing Section of the California Attorney General's Office. During law school, she was a participant of the Willem C. Vis International Moot Arbitration team and was selected to compete in Vienna, Austria. She was also a published editor for the Loyola of Los Angeles International & Comparative Law Review.
