Sharon Blume is an Accounting Branch Chief in the Division of Corporation Finance at the Securities and Exchange Commission.  She reviews transactional and periodic filings under the Securities Acts with a focus on the Healthcare and Insurance industries.  Prior to her role as Accounting Branch Chief, Sharon worked on accounting and disclosure issues in the Financial Services industry group as an Assistant Chief Accountant and Staff Accountant.

Sharon graduated from The College of William and Mary in 1999 with a BBA degree in Accounting.  Prior to joining the SEC in 2004, she worked in public accounting for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
