Sean is a partner in the Professional Practice Network - Accounting Services group at Deloitte. He supports various service lines within the audit practice by researching, advising and concluding on complex technical accounting issues under U.S. GAAP and IFRS. He also monitors accounting standard-setting activities and writes internal and external publications primarily in the areas of revenue, employee compensation and benefits, and consolidation. Sean has over 15 years of financial reporting experience, including leading teams and strategic initiatives, in all areas of the profession: standard setting, regulation, industry, and public accounting.

Sean began his career as an auditor where he served various industrial manufacturing and retail clients. Sean then spent a number of years in industry at Intel where he focused on SEC reporting. From 2013 to 2015 he was an industry fellow at the FASB and then from 2015 to 2017 he was a professional accounting fellow in the Office of the Chief Accountant at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington D.C.

Sean has a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Bradley University and a Masters in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas. Sean is a Certified Public Accountant in Oregon and California.  He is also a member of the AICPA.
