Scott Nierman is a real estate professional and licensed attorney with over 25 years experience in shopping center, self storage and office development, airport concessions, commercial leasing and real estate law. He has held executive project management positions with Kimco Developers, Inc., Westfield LLC, General Growth Properties and Shurgard Storage Centers, managing development projects as project executive, investigating potential new projects and partnership opportunities, negotiating leases and public/private approvals and entitlements. He managed the Midwest Development Teams at both GGP and Shurgard.  Mr. Nierman started in the development business with Budget Rent a Car Corporation developing service facilities, regional offices and local rental operations in addition to his duties as Budget’s regional real estate and concessions attorney. Prior to joining Budget, Mr. Nierman was with the City of Chicago Law Department Land Use & Acquisition Section and the Department of Public Works Right of Way Section handling eminent domain, forcible detainer, right of way acquisition and other real estate matters.

Scott Nierman obtained his B.A. degree from the University of Denver and his J. D. degree from the John Marshall Law School. He is a past board member of Deborah’s Place and the Northbrook IL United Way.
