Scott McLester, executive vice president and general counsel for Wyndham Worldwide, oversees all of the Company's legal activities. As Chief Compliance Officer, Mr. McLester is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the effectiveness of Wyndham Worldwide’s compliance and ethics programs. As Corporate Secretary, he is responsible for coordinating activities and communications with Wyndham Worldwide’s Board of Directors. As General Counsel, he is responsible for overseeing all attorneys who provide counsel to the Company, as well as its business units and affiliates, regarding SEC and NYSE compliance, government relations, labor and employment law, information technology and intellectual property law, and litigation.

Formerly, Mr. McLester was senior vice president of the Legal department at Cendant Corporation, and was responsible for overseeing the litigation department, which handled intellectual property, commercial, franchise and creditors’ rights-related litigation. In addition, Mr. McLester managed Cendant's National Counsel Program, a collection of outside law firms that provided a wide-range of legal services to the Company and its affiliates.

Prior to Cendant, Mr. McLester was a vice president in the law department at Merrill Lynch & Co. in New York, and a partner at the law firm of Carpenter, Bennett & Morrissey in Newark, New Jersey.

Mr. McLester is also on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce, the 2014 Special Olympics USA National Games Committee, and was appointed by Governor Christie to serve on the Ellis Island Commission.

Mr. McLester received his bachelor's degree from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia and his law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, New Jersey.
