Sarah Kathleen Eddy is an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York, where she has served since November 2009.  As a member of the SDNY’s Securities and Commodities Fraud Unit for the past several years, she has been responsible for a broad range of financial fraud investigations and prosecutions, including those of Toyota Motor Corporation in 2014 and General Motors Company in 2015.  Of the ten cases she has tried to date, the most recent have involved charges of insider trading and insurance fraud.

Before joining the SDNY, Sarah worked at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and at Wachtell Lipton Rosen & Katz.  She also clerked for the Honorable Jed S. Rakoff, U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of New York; the Honorable John M. Walker, U.S. Circuit Judge for the Second Circuit Court of Appeals; and the Honorable John Paul Stevens, Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.
