Samuel Brown is a chemist and registered U.S. patent attorney who represents a broad array of clients in matters involving patents, trade secrets, trademarks and associated licensing issues.

In the pharmaceutical area, he has been involved in a number of high profile Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) litigations at both the trial and appellate levels. Sam counsels clients in litigation, prosecution and licensing matters, involving a variety of technical areas including agricultural, pharmaceutical and specialty chemicals, jet engine and aircraft related parts and systems, rare-earth magnets, geotextiles, alloys, and agricultural parts and systems.

Before attending law school, Sam was a professor in the chemistry department of Tennessee State University, where he taught classes ranging from Organic Chemistry to Medicinal Chemistry. He also researched novel drug delivery systems and the mechanisms of drug metabolism while a graduate student at Vanderbilt University.

Sam is active in the American Chemical Society and local Chicago Bar Associations.
