Ryan Evans is a Professional Accounting Fellow in the Office of the Chief Accountant at the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Ryan focuses primarily on auditing matters relating to SEC registrants and participates in the Commission’s activities with respect to its oversight of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB).  Additionally, Ryan monitors the development of auditing standards, both in the U.S. and internationally; consults with registrants and auditors on audit related matters; and participates in the development of staff guidance and Commission rule proposals. Prior to joining the Commission in 2013, Ryan was a senior manager with KPMG LLP, where his responsibilities included performing integrated audits of public companies primarily focused in the technology and consumer products industries. Ryan graduated with a degree in accounting from Brigham Young University.
