Ruth Savolaine joined Cisco in 2010. Ruth leads strategic communications for Cisco's award-winning Ethics Program, in support of more than 63,000 employees worldwide.

Her responsibilities include: the annual Code of Business Conduct (COBC) certification communications, awareness/training initiatives and special projects. She initiated and led the development of Cisco's first interactive COBC eBook, launched in October 2012.

Prior to joining Cisco, she produced global employee communications at The Boeing Company for: benefits, compensation, employee engagement, labor relations, diversity and ethics. She has also worked as an HR communications consultant with Mercer HR Consulting and managed marketing communications teams with Chicagoarea hospitals.

Her work includes: marketing, advertising, video production, media relations, special events, publications, website development and presentations. She currently serves on the board of the Chicago Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators.

Ruth has an MBA in marketing and healthcare from Northwestern University¡¦s Kellogg School of Management, and degrees in Public Relations and Computer Technology from Miami University (in Ohio). She also has a certificate in Project Management Strategy from the University of Chicago.
