Ruth S. Epstein has 30 years of corporate and securities legal experience, including work involving investment companies, investment advisers, and broker-dealer regulation; SEC enforcement; and variable insurance product design and regulation.

Ms. Epstein has held a number of positions at the Securities and Exchange Commission, including senior special counsel in the Office of the General Counsel (1983-84), special counsel (1982-83), and staff attorney with the Division of Enforcement and the Office of General Counsel (1978-82).

Since 2007, Ms. Epstein has been recognized as a leading lawyer for Investment Funds: Registered Funds by Chambers USA, which praised her as "one of the most knowledgeable experts in the funds industry, which is no easy feat." She has also been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for her work in mutual funds law.
