Ruby Sharma engages with and assists corporate boards and audit committees on a broad range of governance topics including composition and structure, self-assessments, charter formation and agendas. She encourages and facilitates the exchange of information about business issues and risks, and she supports audit committees in their oversight role.

Ruby has 20 years of experience working with management and boards. In her current position she provides guidance to EY teams in the development of custom training and materials used to help new board members or those new to the audit committee. Additionally she provides one-on-one training for directors and helps them identify networks and resources that can assist them in their role.

Ruby also works closely with Tapestry Networks and its nine networks of audit committee chairs across the country. She consults on content and participates in most meetings.

Ruby’s experience also includes providing assistance to boards and management on financial statement accounting practices and procedures, internal corporate investigations, white-collar fraud, damage assessments and contract disputes. Ruby has assisted with US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and other regulatory examinations and inquiries and provided independent guidance in numerous types of investigations.

Ruby has worked and lived in the UK, Germany, India and the US. She is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Ruby is a Board of Trustee member of the Princeton HealthCare System and is chair of its audit committee. She’s also a member of its Performance & Improvement and the Strategic Planning committees. Ruby also serves on Asia Society’s Business Council. In 2011, the Asian American Business Development Center recognized Ruby as one of the Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business. She has served as a visiting faculty at Princeton University and Cornell University, an Executive-in-Residence at Adelphi University, and on the faculty at the Direct Women Board Institute.
