Robert Wilson is Senior Counsel on the AOL Inc. Legal Department’s Platforms and Technology team where he is the primary legal support for AOL’s Mail, Winamp, SHOUTcast, Bebo Mobile, and MapQuest Mobile products and services. Mr. Wilson is an active member of the AOL Legal Pro Bono team, which provides pro bono legal services in the Northern Virginia metro region. Mr. Wilson is also a faculty member of Georgetown University’s School of Continuing Education where he teaches Contracts Law for the Paralegal Studies Program. Prior to AOL, Mr. Wilson was a member of the VeriSign Legal Global Law department for seven years. At VeriSign, Mr. Wilson served in numerous legal roles of increasing responsibility supporting VeriSign’s telecommunications, web, and registry services groups. In his role as Senior Counsel at VeriSign, Mr.Wilson was selected to provide all legal services supporting VeriSign’s two largest global accounts, AT&T and News Corp. Prior to VeriSign, Mr. Wilson was a member of the Winstar Wireless Commercial and Legal department. Mr. Wilson has a Bachelor of Arts from the College of William and Mary and a Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law. Mr.Wilson is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia and maintains an active Virginia Corporate Counsel status with the Virginia State bar.
