Robert N. Sacks has served as executive vice president, general counsel and secretary of SP Plus Corporation (formerly known as Standard Parking Corporation) since March 1998.  Prior to that time, Mr. Sacks served in various capacities for a predecessor of Standard Parking, including general counsel and secretary (1988 – March 1998), vice president (1989 – 1997), and senior vice president (1997 – March 1998). 

Mr. Sacks received his B.A. degree, cum laude, from Northwestern University in 1976 and his J. D. degree from Suffolk University in 1979.  Mr. Sacks was a member of the Suffolk University Law Review.

As general counsel of SP Plus, Mr. Sacks is responsible for the overall supervision of the Company’s legal activities, including legal contracting, mergers and acquisitions, corporate financings, corporate governance, SEC compliance and internal audit.   Mr. Sacks oversees the Company’s in-house Legal Department consisting of ten (10) attorneys located in Chicago and Nashville, a legal and paralegal support staff and the Company’s 14 member internal audit department.   Mr. Sacks sits on SP’s business steering committee and serves as secretary to the Board of Directors, Audit Committee and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.

SP has grown from a parking management company that operated 490 parking facilities in North America in 1998 to a Company that by 2013 had become a diversified provider of outsourced parking facility management, ground transportation and related ancillary services generating 2013 Gross Profit of $172 million. Today SP Plus manages over 4,200 parking facilities containing 2.1 million parking spaces in 420 cities, 30 parking-related service centers serving 75 airports, a fleet of approximately 730 shuttle buses carrying approximately 37 million passengers per year, 136 valet locations and employs a professional staff of approximately 24,000 people,

SP Plus Corporation (NASDAQ: SP) went public with an initial public offering in June 2004 followed by a successful secondary offering in November 2009.
