Robert M. Freedman is a Partner in the Law Firm of Mazur Carp Rubin & Schulman PC in New York City.  He practices in the areas of Elder Law, Trusts and Estates, Guardianship, Planning for Individuals with Disabilities and their families.

Mr. Freedman was a Founder and past Chair of the Elder Law Section of the New York State Bar Association and a Founder and Fellow of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. He is also a member of the New York State Bar Association, Trust and Estates section where he chaired the Committee of the Elderly and Disabled.

Mr. Freedman writes and lectures on planning for the Elderly and Disabled for many different publications and organizations, including co-authoring a chapter on Elder Law for General Practice in New York published by West Publishing Company.

Prior to joining Mazur Carp Rubin & Schulman PC, Mr. Freedman founded the firm of Freedman Fish & Grimaldi.LLP.

 Mr. Freedman was an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Bet Tzedek Clinic at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and a Staff Attorney at Legal Services for the Elderly and the Institute of Law and Rights of Older Adults at the Brookdale Center on Aging of Hunter College.

 Mr. Freedman is a graduate of Tufts University and the New York University School of Law.
