Robert Errett

Robert W. Errett has served as Special Counsel in the Office of Structured Finance in the Division of Corporation Finance at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission since 2011.  Mr. Errett focuses on rulemaking, interpretive advice and reviewing disclosure related to structured finance products.  Most recently, he has been involved in the Division’s activities related to the development and drafting of rule revisions to Regulation AB and the implementation of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act provisions related to securitization.  Prior to joining the Office of Structured Finance, Mr. Errett served as a staff attorney in the Office of the Assistant Director – Consumer Products.  Mr. Errett earned his law degree from The University of Akron School of Law, prior to which he served as a surety claim representative with Westfield Insurance Company.
