Robert "Bobby" Gilbert specializes in complex business litigation and class actions, primarily involving business torts and contracts, consumer protection, unfair competition, affinity fraud, banking misconduct and environmental issues. He regularly handles cases in federal and state courts throughout the United States, representing clients from all walks of life, including working class families, entrepreneurs, professionals, small businesses and public companies. Over the course of his 24 year career, he has handled over 50 trials and over several dozen appeals, several of which resulted in precedent-setting decisions. 

In August 2009, Mr. Gilbert and his partner were appointed as lead counsel to oversee and manage In re Checking Account Overdraft Litigation, multidistrict litigation proceedings brought against approximately 35 banks alleging unfair business practices and related claims relating to the imposition of overdraft fees by banks on their customers' checking accounts in a manner designed to maximize these fees.
