Mr. Straussman is Senior Counsel to the Firm, primarily specializing in: (i) patent prosecution before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, (ii) advising on intellectual property portfolio creation & management, (iii) patent & trademark litigation matters in the U.S courts, U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and International Trade Commission, and (iv) IP-related due diligence.  Mr. Straussman has two and a half decades of experience centering around patent litigation, application drafting and prosecution, Patent, Trademark, Copyright, trade secret and know how-related due diligence (on both the buy and sell sides), and opinion matters, primarily in the fields of electronics, computer hardware and software, consumer technology, optics and medical devices.  He also has significant experience advising and assisting clients in enhancing company value through cost-effectively developing and managing a domestic and foreign intellectual property portfolio.  He has handled diverse contested matters, including patent infringement litigation and appeals; copyright infringement and trademark infringement, trademark cancellation and opposition matters; representing clients in connection with International Trade Commission 337 matters and in the Federal Courts; briefing in an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court; and serving as a special assistant district attorney on behalf of the Manhattan District Attorney's Office in a criminal appeal before the Appellate Division, First Department, of the Supreme Court of the State of New York.

Mr. Straussman was previously a partner with Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell LLP and, prior to that, a partner with Morgan & Finnegan LLP.

Prior to his legal career, Mr. Straussman was a senior engineer at Harris Corp.'s Gov't Support Sys. Div., where he designed hardware, software (internal self-test and Test Program Sets) and firmware.
