Mr. Chang is a Director, within the Energy, Life Sciences, and Healthcare (ELH) vertical at Information Services Group (ISG), a leading technology insights, market intelligence and advisory services company.  Richard brings nearly 30 years of experience within the advisory services and strategic sourcing industry.  He has broad and extensive expertise across the entire Information Technology and Business Process outsourcing life-cycle.  Richard specializes in helping clients set and execute sourcing strategy, evaluate and select service providers, and especially in contract negotiations support for large scale, multi-national sourcing transactions.  He has led, advised, negotiated, and/or transitioned nearly 80 different client transactions with ACVs ranging from $5M to $50M.

Career History:
Prior to joining ISG, Richard was a Director at Alsbridge, Inc., a third-party advisory firm, developing and delivering successful ITO and BPO transactions for clients across life sciences/healthcare, manufacturing/supply chain, financial services, retail, hospitality and logistics industries.  Before that, Richard spent 20 years at Perot Systems – now a part of Dell - in various executive and operational leadership roles.  He was the President and General Manager of Perot Systems China, having launched the business unit in Shanghai in 2005 to broaden the off-shore delivery capabilities as well as focus on domestic customers, the first of which was the No. 1 Hospital Network of Hunan province.  Richard started his career at Electronic Data Systems (EDS) Corporation – now a part of HP - as a Systems Engineer on the General Motors account where he developed the mainline code for the Vehicle Tracking system.

Education and Credentials:
Richard is a recognized leader on strategic sourcing; he has been an invited keynote and guest speaker at various conferences, user groups, and international forums; he has been quoted in industry magazines and regularly publishes articles.  He has lived and worked throughout North America, Europe, and Asia, particularly China.  He speaks and understands Mandarin Chinese.  Richard holds a Master of Business Administration from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Colorado State University.
