Randi Roberts is an accomplished corporate compliance leader and subject matter expert, with over 20 years of broad experience spanning private practice, government service, public interest law and in-house legal departments.  Most recently, Randi spent 12 years as a Vice President of Compliance at NBCUniversal, where she advised internal clients on a wide range of complex and cutting-edge compliance issues, including the FCPA/anti-corruption laws, international trade controls, conflicts of interest, gifts & business entertainment, anti-money laundering, government contracting, political laws compliance and emerging market due diligence.  She designed and managed a state-of-the-art automated program for identifying and addressing third party corruption risks, and led the company’s compliance due diligence and integration efforts in connection with several major deals, including The Weather Channel, iVillage and Oxygen.  She led annual enterprise-wide compliance risk assessments, working with senior attorneys and business executives to identify, assess and mitigate key compliance risks.  As an NBCUniversal ombudsperson, Randi regularly fielded a myriad of integrity-related concerns from employees at all levels, and led significant internal investigations, working closely with cross-functional teams from HR, IT, Security, Internal Audit and Finance.  She regularly conducted compliance training sessions tailored to business-specific risks with both employees and third party representatives.  She and her team regularly reported to the NBCUniversal Compliance Review Board -- including its General Counsel, CFO, President of HR -- on the status of the company’s compliance program, including key business risks, policy initiatives, training plans and communications.  Finally, Randi is a frequent public speaker on timely compliance topics, including Best Practices for Addressing Third Party Corruption-Related Risks; Best Practices For Testing & Reviewing Global Compliance Programs; Trade Control Risks in Cuba; and Gifts & Entertainment, Conflicts & Corruption: An Interplay of Risks & Best Practices to Address Them.

Randi is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Northwestern University School of Law.  Prior to joining NBCUniversal, she was a Director in the Fraud Risks & Controls Group at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC, Acting Director of the New York office of Investigative Group International and served as a Special Counsel to the Special Commissioner of Investigation for the New York City School District. She has also practiced law in New York at Debevoise & Plimpton and the Legal Aid Society’s Criminal Appeals Bureau.
