R. Randall “Randy” Tracht represents public and private enterprises in a range of executive compensation and employee benefit issues. He helps clients design, draft, and maintain tax- qualified retirement benefit plans, health and welfare plans (including retiree medical plans), and executive compensation arrangements; he also advises on plan-related compliance issues. He represents clients throughout the United States, including enterprises in the energy, manufacturing, retail, education, and healthcare industries.

Randy represents clients before the IRS, DOL, and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation in a range of proceedings, including remedial correction programs and agency-initiated audits. He also handles matters involving the Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and the Affordable Care Act.

Randy works with clients to address employee benefits issues that accompany corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), restructurings, reductions in force, and pension de-risking initiatives. He speaks and publishes frequently on employee benefits issues, drafting numerous LawFlashes, White Papers, and other publications. Randy previously practiced employee benefits law at a national law firm.
