Pooja Asnani is a Staff Attorney at Sanctuary for Families’ Immigration Intervention Project, a part of their Center for Battered Women's Legal Services. Pooja represents survivors of domestic violence, sex trafficking, and other forms of gender-based violence in their immigration matters. She actively informs New York City immigrants of their rights and changes in immigration law through outreach events, and trains on immigration legal remedies for vulnerable and youth populations.  Her previous experience includes serving as Chadbourne & Parke Fellow at The Door’s Legal Services Center, where her work focused on representing immigrant youth in immigration and family courts, and as a litigation associate at Chadbourne & Parke LLP.  Pooja holds a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law School and a Bachelor of the Arts from the University of Miami. Pooja is admitted to practice in New York.
