Paul J. Crispino

Paul is a principal in the Washington International Tax Services group of Deloitte Tax LLP.  He has a broad background in many areas of U.S. tax law, including outbound international tax issues such as subpart F, PFIC, foreign tax credits, foreign currency and issues arising in cross-border acquisitions and dispositions.  Prior to joining Deloitte, Paul worked for over a decade with a major U.S. multinational corporation, overseeing and advising on many internal restructurings, private equity and other financial investments, and a multitude of international tax issues.  Paul also had been an Associate Tax Legislative Counsel with the U.S. Treasury Department, where he oversaw the development of regulatory guidance primarily governing financial products and institutions.  Paul is currently the Chair of the Foreign Activities of U.S. Taxpayers Committee of the American Bar Association, and writes and speaks frequently on international tax topics.  He holds Juris Doctor and Master of Laws degrees from New York University and a BBA (accounting) from Pace University.
