Paul A. Belvin has been an Associate Director in the Division of Corporation Finance since July 2004. For several years immediately prior to joining the Division Mr. Belvin was a partner at the law firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld in Washington, D.C. Mr. Belvin previously was a partner at the Stinson, Mag and Fizzell law firm in Kansas City, MO, counselor to SEC Commissioner Norman S. Johnson and Counselor to Commissioner Carol T. Crawford of the U.S. International Trade Commission. Earlier in his career Mr. Belvin served in several positions in the Division of Corporation Finance, including Chief of the Division's Office of Small Business Policy. Mr.Belvin earned his undergraduate degree in economics from Wake Forest University and his law degree from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law, the College of William and Mary. He also has a LL.M. in taxation from the Georgetown University Law Center.
