Patrycja Kowalska is a tax senior manager and leads McGladrey‘s International Assignment Services in the Great Lakes Region. She is specializing in the US and various host country taxation of U.S. outbound and U.S. inbound employees. She has experience in both tax and HR issues associated with international assignments. She assists her clients during the entire life cycle of the foreign assignment. This includes pre and post assignment tax consultations, preparation and review of tax returns, tax equalizations, drafting and advising on assignment tax policies, advising on international payroll issues and repatriation. Her clients range from high level executives to large groups of expats based in the US and around the world.

Previous to McGladrey, Patrycja was a manager in the human capital practice of Ernst & Young. In this role she was managing global accounts providing tax compliance services for U.S. outbound and U.S. inbound employees, tax planning advice and global mobility/tax equalization policy development.

Patrycja started her career with Ernst & Young firm in Warsaw, Poland working with expatriates coming to Poland from other countries, including U.S., and advising them on both tax and social security issues associated with their moves. Her experience with own relocation to the U.S. enabled her to gain better understanding of issues related to relocations and international assignments.
