Parisa Ijadi-Maghsoodi is the Managing Attorney of Legal Services of Northern California’s Senior Legal Hotline.  The mission of Legal Services of Northern California is to provide quality legal services to empower the poor to identify and defeat the causes and effects of poverty within our community efficiently utilizing all available resources.  Senior Legal Hotline provides civil legal advice and mediation services to seniors in Sacramento county and pension assistance to individuals of any age working or residing in California, Arizona, Nevada or Hawaii.  Prior to her time at the Senior Legal Hotline, Parisa served as a staff attorney in Legal Services of Northern California’s Ukiah office, where she represented low-income individuals in rural Mendocino and Lake counties under a housing grant.  In 2011 and 2012, Parisa organized naturalization workshops in rural Mendocino county, where she and volunteer immigration law attorneys provide free immigration advice and naturalization application review to rural indigent legal permanent residents. 

Parisa obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and her J.D. from the University of California, Davis School of Law.  While at U.C. Davis, Parisa worked in the Immigration Law Clinic, representing indigent individuals in immigration removal proceedings.  She is admitted to practice law in California and is an accredited attorney admitted to practice law before the Department of Veterans Affairs.
