Norris Washington, is a staff attorney with the Federal Trade Commission's Western Region - San Francisco Office. Mr. Washington is a graduate of the University of Washington, and graduated cum laude from Seattle University Law School. Before joining the San Francisco Office of the Federal Trade Commission, Norris worked in the Energy and Food Division of the FTC in Washington DC, where he focused on investigations in the natural gas, oil, computer and chemical industries. Mr. Washington was involved in  FTC v.Pacific Resources, Inc., a merger between two petroleum terminal operators in the State of Hawaii, FTC v. Elders Grain, Inc., 868 F.2d 901 (7th Cir. 1989), a proposed merger of two dry corn milling operators and was lead litigation counsel in FTC v. Freeman Hospital, et al., an effort to block a hospital merger in Joplin, Missouri. In San Francisco, Mr. Washington has been involved in investigations involving the health care, petroleum and technology industries.
