Nishat currently serves as General Counsel at TED Conferences, LLC. She loves to build solutions –whether legal, collaborative or social– between people and entities with (at-times) widely varying interests. Prior to joining TED, Nishat worked for public technology and private consulting companies with a focus on intellectual property, licensing and compliance. Other areas of legal expertise range from (m&a) risk assessment and building strategic partnerships, to global brand strategy, marketing, external communications and training.  She served as Associate General Counsel at CA Technologies for ten years, as Managing Counsel at LivePerson, as well as various positions at Axiom, McGraw Hill Education, Chubb Insurance, Capco and Binary Tree.  She is also a guest lecturer at Fordham Law School, and has been on the editorial board of the International In House Counsel Journal (iicj.net) based in London since 2010 and has helped as faculty for ethics and compliance courses at Practicing Law Institute.  Nishat graduated with a BA in Political Science from Rutgers University and a JD from Widener Law School.  Nishat loves authenticity, good food, traveling with her family, music, tennis, meaningful conversations and finding connectedness with people from all walks of life.
