Nathan A. Adams, IV represents educational and religious institutions, including private universities and schools. For public institutions, his practice includes providing advice on diversity in admissions, financial aid, and hiring; compliance with Title VI, Title VII, and Title IX; distance learning; and academic freedom and tenure. Dr. Adams provides general counsel for a number of private institutions, including advice about compliance with church-state law. He has experience working with the Florida Commission for Independent Education and the U.S. Department of Education. Dr. Adams holds a Ph.D. in international political economy from the University of Florida, J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law, and B.A. from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. Nathan is a frequent guest lecturer, has published extensively in law reviews and trade journals, and has argued multiple federal and state cases in trial and appellate courts. He is admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court and multiple federal appellate and district courts, as well as all courts in Florida, Colorado, and the District of Columbia.
