Nancy Thomson graduated from Vanderbilt University Law School in 1981. From 1982 to 1985, Ms. Thomson worked for Northwestern Legal Services in Sharon, Pennsylvania. Since 1985, Ms. Thomson has worked for the New York City Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) Division of Family Court Legal Services as a staff attorney litigating child abuse and neglect cases in Bronx Family Court, and subsequently as supervising attorney of the FCLS Bronx Family Court Unit. Currently Ms. Thomson is the Associate Commissioner for ACS Division of Family Court Legal Services.  Ms. Thomson provides substantive legal guidance and supervision to ACS attorneys on individual cases, agency policies and trial practice. In addition she provides legal counsel to child protective, preventive, and foster care program areas on individual cases, Family Court procedures and applicable law.
