Mignon McLemore is Assistant Chief Counsel at FINRA Dispute Resolution.  Ms. McLemore received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Howard University in 1988, and a Juris Doctorate degree from Tulane University Law School in 1995.  After law school, Ms. McLemore worked for the U. S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in its Division of Market Regulation (currently the Division of Trading and Markets), achieving the position of Special Counsel.  She left the SEC in 2000 for an associate position in the Broker-Dealer and Securities practice groups at Kirkpatrick & Lockhart LLP (now K&L Gates).  In 2003, Ms. McLemore accepted a counsel position with Dispute Resolution, and was promoted to her current position in 2005.  As Assistant Chief Counsel, Ms. McLemore is responsible for developing rule proposals that either amend current arbitration and mediation rules or adopt new regulatory initiatives.  Ms. McLemore is currently working on several proposals for Dispute Resolution - In re Expungement, Conditioned Settlements, Arbitrator Honoraria and Mid-case Referrals.    Ms. McLemore serves on the editorial board for The Neutral Corner, and is Dispute Resolution’s Web site liaison.
