Michelle Uzeta

Michelle Uzeta has specialized in civil rights advocacy since 1993, with special expertise in disability rights and fair housing law. She currently litigates cases throughout the State of California with the Center for Disability Access and the Housing Access Project. Through the Law Offices of Michelle Uzeta, Ms. Uzeta writes and lectures on disability rights and fair housing law, and authors amicus curiae briefs regarding the same.

Ms. Uzeta's prior experience includes serving as the Litigation Director for the Southern California Housing Rights Center and Associate Managing Attorney in the Los Angeles Office of Disability Rights California.

Ms. Uzeta frequently lectures on the legal rights of people with disabilities, and has appeared at events including the National Disability Rights Network's TASC Annual Conference, the California Bar Association's Fair Housing and Public Accommodations Symposium, the Southern California Latino Disability Conference, and the Fair Housing Laws and Litigation Conference.

Ms. Uzeta is a graduate of Stanford University and earned her Juris Doctorate and Certification in Public Interest Law from the University of California, Davis.
