Michael A. Weinberg is a partner at Novack and Macey LLP. He has over 40 years of experience representing clients in complex commercial litigation and arbitration matters.

Michael’s real estate litigation experience includes disputes involving commercial leases, commercial mortgage foreclosures, land acquisition, construction, real estate brokerage, and condominium rights. In handling such matters, Michael has represented the entire spectrum of interested parties, including developers, construction firms, condominium associations, landlords, tenants, real estate brokers, mortgagors and mortgagees.

Michael’s non-real estate general commercial litigation experience includes, among many other things, corporate ownership and management disputes, lender liability claims, partnership and closely held business disputes, fiduciary and estate litigation, and breach of contract disputes. He represents clients in state and federal court proceedings in Illinois and nationally, as well as in matters submitted to alternative dispute resolution forums.  Michael is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois (Trial Bar member) and the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Sixth and Seventh Circuits.

Michael is a member of the American Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and the Energy Bar Association. Michael is also a member of three of the firm's practice groups: Real Estate Litigation; Energy Disputes; and Close Corporations, Partnerships and Limited Liability Companies. He also serves on the Board of the University of Michigan Club of Greater Chicago, where he chairs the Scholarship Committee.

Michael graduated from Vassar College with honors and distinction, and earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was a note editor of the University of Michigan Law Review.
