Michael A. Scaramella is a senior manager in the passthroughs group in the National Tax Office of Deloitte Tax LLP.  Michael specializes in partnership taxation, with an emphasis on the use of partnerships in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and restructurings. 

Michael is an adjunct professor at Loyola University Chicago School of Law.  He has participated in panels addressing income tax issues at some of the country’s leading tax conferences, including New York University’s Institute on Federal Taxation and conferences organized by Tax Executives Institute, Inc.  Michael also has authored numerous articles on income tax issues affecting partnerships and their partners.

Michael received his B.S. (magna cum laude) from Northern Illinois University, his M.S.T. from Northern Illinois University, and his J.D. (magna cum laude) from Georgetown University Law Center.  Michael is a certified public accountant and an active member of the State Bar of Illinois.
