Michael A. Levine is a member of Epstein Becker & Green, P.C. (EBG), a full-service law firm with particular expertise in the field of labor, employment, and health. He is Chair of the firm’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainability practice. Mr. Levine practices out of EBG’s New York office, focusing on corporate compliance with labor, employment, and human rights standards, and commercial and intellectual property litigation for multinational manufacturing, apparel and consumer goods clients, among others.

His litigation practice includes trademark and trade dress infringement, unfair competition and trade practices, anti-counterfeiting, false advertising claims, and complex white-collar criminal investigations and proceedings. Mr. Levine also represents clients who have been targeted in stakeholder or shareholder campaigns, or who have come under governmental investigation.

Mr. Levine writes and speaks about current trends and legal issues affecting CSR at conferences worldwide. He also conducts CSR, auditor training and CSR capacity building seminars, advising companies how to create and implement monitoring and training programs to protect factory workers, to safeguard brands, intellectual property, and good will, and to minimize the risks of litigation and negative publicity. He is Vice-Chair of the American Bar Association’s CSR Committee, and a member of the U.S. Technical Advisory Group on Social Responsibility for the ISO-26000 CSR standard.
