Taken from the briefing Memorable and Persuasive: Winning Demonstratives at Trial recorded September, 2015 in New York.

In the niche world of graphics consulting for courtroom presentations, starting with the end in mind is a proven strategy for success. Elite trial teams think about the visual depiction of a case early in the litigation cycle, working with graphics (demonstratives and exhibits) that support the witnesses and the arguments. Utilizing the principles of design: balance, gradation, repetition, contrast, harmony, dominance and flow, a trial team uses graphics to increase comprehension and create a memorable story for the jury. A well-designed graphic focuses the jury's attention, simplifies complex concepts, and helps the jury trust the speaker.
