Melinda Whittington

Melinda Whittington joined Kraft Foods Group, Inc. (Kraft) in January 2014, as Vice President, Finance and Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, based in Northfield, Illinois. In February 2015, Melinda was promoted to Senior Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer. Kraft is one of North America’s largest consumer packaged food and beverage companies, with annual revenues of more than $18 billion, and an unrivaled portfolio of iconic brands including Kraft, Maxwell House, Oscar Mayer, Philadelphia, Planters, Velveeta, Capri Sun, Lunchables and JELL-O.

Prior to joining Kraft, Ms. Whittington served The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G), a consumer packaged goods company, for 20 years.  Ms. Whittington served in a variety of finance leadership roles, including Finance Director, Global Home Products, in 2013, Finance Director, North America Home Care and Global Surface Care Brand Franchise, from 2010 until 2013 and Finance Director, Corporate Accounting, from 2005 until 2010.  Ms. Whittington’s roles included international experiences in Belgium and Costa Rica. 

Early in her career, Ms. Whittington worked on the audit staff of KPMG Peat Marwick, and served a post graduate internship at the Financial Accounting Standards Board. 

Ms. Whittington is a summa cum laude graduate of The Ohio State University.  She has served in several leadership positions for non-profit organizations.  She enjoys travel and spending time with her husband of 27 years and two children.
