Matt joined Ropes & Gray in 2013 as an associate in the intellectual property group.

Matt’s practice focuses on patent litigation, including disputes before federal district courts and Section 337 investigations before the U.S. International Trade Commission. Matt has litigated cases at every stage from pre-suit investigation to post-trial briefing. Matt has experience with a wide-range of technologies, including semiconductor fabrication and design, electronic medical records, and commercial restaurant equipment.

Matt assists Ropes & Gray clients with brand enforcement and fraud prevention. His work in this area has resulted in the shutdown of fraudulent websites and email scams targeting the investing public and phishing schemes aimed at employees of some of the world’s largest investment firms.

During law school, Matt was a teaching fellow for CopyrightX, Harvard Law School’s course offering under Harvard’s distance-learning initiative.

Prior to law school, Matt was a senior consultant at Quorum Business Solutions, where he designed and implemented software integration solutions for the energy industry.
