Matthew Alshouse

Primarily engaged in the real estate and finance industries, Mr. Alshouse has more than 10 years of experience advising clients on issues related to traditional property acquisition and development, borrowing and lending, as well as significant experience in infrastructure and the development and financing of major projects, including renewable energy and wind farm development. Mr. Alshouse has represented clients on a broad range of projects, including land and development acquisition, development approvals, financing (construction and project based), and dispositions. He has counseled both domestic and foreign developers; landlords and tenants; asset-based and project lenders; private equity and hedge funds; and REITs. In addition to the American Bar Association, Mr. Alshouse is currently a member of the Urban Land Institute.

Practice Focus
Mr. Alshouse provides counsel on all legal matters relevant to commercial and residential real estate projects, including acquisitions, financings, leasing, condominium documentation and property dispositions. He has extensive experience in retail and office developments, real estate finance, including lot option financing, and commercial leasing. Mr. Alshouse has also focused his practice on representation of clients in the energy and renewables industry, including especially in the development and financing of wind assets. Finally, Matt has been involved in the Firm's growing presence in the U.S. infrastructure industry, counseling bidders on a number of concessions and privatization bids.
