Matt Kelpy

Matt Kelpy has been at AOL for nine years and is currently the Chief Accounting Officer & Treasurer.  In 2009, Matt led the accounting efforts at AOL to spin-off and separate from Time Warner, which included, among other things, preparation of a registration statement on Form 10 and building out an SEC reporting team.  In addition, Matt and his accounting team have addressed numerous revenue recognition, impairment and business combination accounting issues through the years at AOL. 

Prior to his time at AOL, Matt spent ten years working at Deloitte & Touche in a number of their offices nationwide.  Matt began his career with Deloitte in 1995 in the Detroit office, and spent seven years primarily serving General Motors.  Matt also spent two years in Deloitte’s national office accounting research group in Wilton, CT, specializing in the areas of accounting for employee benefits (including equity-based compensation), bankruptcy accounting, and earnings-per-share.  Matt graduated from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor in 1995 with an undergraduate degree in business administration and a master’s degree in accounting.
