Mary Ann Deignan is a Managing Director in Shareholder Advisory at Lazard, advising clients on shareholder activism, trends in corporate governance and the changing profile of their public shareholders.  Ms. Deignan joined Lazard from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where she was Co-Head of Global Equity Capital Markets and prior to which she was Head of Americas Equity Capital Markets.  Before that she worked for UBS as Head of Americas Equity Capital Markets.  She began her career at Bankers Trust working in leveraged finance.

In her 30 years on Wall Street Ms. Deignan has provided advice and execution expertise to a wide variety of clients including sector leaders in the S&P 500 and across the globe, small private enterprises and large charitable trusts.  She has extensive knowledge of the global equity markets and public market investors.  

Mary Ann is on the Board of Advisors at the Hospital for Special Surgery in NYC and is a founding member of the Hospital's Pediatric Council.  She also serves on the Board of Directors of USA Luge, where she heads the Governance and Nominating Committee.

Ms. Deignan has a BA from Mount Holyoke College and an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth.
