Mark Weisberg, a partner in Winston & Strawn's employee benefits and executive compensation practice group, represents large employers in the design, establishment, and administration of retirement benefit, welfare benefit, and deferred and equity-based compensation plans.

Mr. Weisberg has particular experience negotiating executive employment and equity compensation agreements, as well as advising clients on innovative new benefits programs. In this area, Mr. Weisberg has assisted with the design and implementation of non-traditional defined benefit plans (including cash balance plans) and retiree health programs. His practice also focuses on the employee benefit aspects of corporate and employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) transactions.
 
Activities: 
Mr. Weisberg is a member of the University of Pennsylvania Law Alumni Society Board of Managers.
 
Honors and Awards: 
Mr. Weisberg has been named one of the leading employee benefits and executive compensation lawyers in the United States by Chambers USA: America's Leading Business Lawyers. He also was honored in the peer rankings-based 2007-2010 editions of The Best Lawyers in America and named as an Illinois Super Lawyer in 2009.
 
Education: 
Mr. Weisberg received a B.S., cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania in 1985 and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1988.
