Mark Parsons is a corporate/commercial partner based in Hogan Lovells' Hong Kong office with a particular focus on the technology, media and telecommunications sector and its intersection with financial services, retail and other industry sectors.  Mark's fintech practice includes advising leading technology companies and financial institutions alike on commercial and regulatory aspects of digital banking, lending, insurance and securities services, crypto-currencies and on the acquisition, development and licensing of financial services technology.   Mark also advises a number of start-ups in the fintech space.  Mark has been appointed to a two year term as a member of the Hong Kong Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data's Standing Committee on Technological Developments.  In addition to holding a JD from the University of Toronto, Mark also has a Bachelor of Applied Science in engineering from the University of Toronto, where he specialized in computer simulation and process design.
