Mark L. Karasik is a partner at Baker & McKenzie LLP, based in its Chicago office. He has approximately three decades of experience litigating and trying a variety of civil, commercial and employment matters, including wrongful termination, breach of contract, fraud, negligence and product liability. Mr. Karasik’s practice emphasizes commercial litigation and employment litigation. He has represented clients in various industries—including healthcare, manufacturing, automotive, and consumer products—before state and federal courts and in national and international arbitration proceedings. Mr. Karasik also handles NASD and retaliatory discharge arbitrations. Mr. Karasik serves as Chairman of the Hearing Board on the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission, as appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court. He has been serving the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission since 1986. He is a frequent lecturer on continuing legal education topics such as ethics, discovery, and trial tactics. Mr. Karasik is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the American Bar Association, the Cook County Bar Association, and the DuPage County Bar Association. He received a B.A. degree Phi Beta Kappa and a J.D. degree from the University of Southern California.
