Mark Henning is a partner in Winston & Strawn's real estate department. His practice includes all aspects of complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisition, financing, leasing, management, and sale.

Mr. Henning's clients include major property investment companies, national banks, publicly owned companies, and institutional investors.

In addition, Mr. Henning heads the real estate side of Winston & Strawn's leveraged leasing practice. Mr. Henning and the leasing group have successfully closed domestic and international leasing transactions for institutional lessors and lessees involving shopping centers, hotels, office buildings, retail properties, and corporate headquarters complexes. Mr. Henning also has substantial experience representing private sector owner/operators in privatization transactions involving public assets.
Mr. Henning is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and the International Council of Shopping Centers. He has been recognized in Illinois Super Lawyers from 2005-2011 and Chambers USA from 2005-2011, and was selected by his peers for inclusion in the 2012 Best Lawyers editions in the practice of Real Estate Law.

Mr. Henning has previously presented at the Negotiating Commercial Leases seminar sponsored by the Practising Law Institute and is the author of a chapter on "Lease Financing of Real Estate" in Equipment Leasing-Leveraged Leasing published by the Practising Law Institute in 1999.

Mr. Henning received a B.A. in Economics, magna cum laude, with distinction, from the University of Illinois in 1975, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He received a J.D., cum laude, from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law in 1978.
